How it works

The premise is simple: a self-concept is rehearsed, not decided. So the work is to build something specific enough to rehearse, and then to actually rehearse it.

  1. One

    The identity interview

Not a box asking for your goals. A short conversation — about five minutes — that moves through who you are becoming, your work, your material life, your relationships, your body, your inner world, and finally an ordinary day once all of it is normal. When an answer is abstract, you get asked what you would actually do differently on an ordinary Wednesday.

  2. Two

    Your identity blueprint

The interview becomes ten short sections: who I am, how I think, how I feel, how I respond, my relationships, my work, my body and lifestyle, my material world, my ordinary day, and what is now normal. Every section is editable. It is a description, not a diagnosis.

  3. Three

    The rehearsal

From the blueprint you get a first-person account of a single ordinary day in which the identity and the circumstances are already unremarkable. Coffee, getting dressed, a conversation, opening a laptop, going to bed — with the life you intend sitting quietly inside those moments. Identity shows through behaviour, not through affirmations.

  4. Four

    The believability check

A rehearsal you cannot inhabit is useless. You say how it feels to read and flag the sentences your mind rejects, and those passages are rewritten so you can actually engage with them — without deleting the goal.

  5. Five

    Morning and evening

A distraction-free reading surface. Choose two, five or ten minutes. Optional pacing prompts ask you to pause and stay with a scene. The evening version reads more like remembering than striving. Afterwards you note what felt most real.

  6. Six

    Evidence, then evolution

Each day you record what happened that was evidence of the person you're becoming. Every week you say what now feels normal and what still feels distant, and the rehearsal is proposed for revision — shown to you before anything changes. Nothing is ever overwritten; every version is kept.

What this isn't

Not an affirmation generator, not a vision board, not a manifestation app, and not a general-purpose AI coach. NEW STATE makes no claim that imagining an outcome causes it, claims no measured neurological change, and is not a treatment for any condition. The progress indicators on your dashboard record how familiar something feels to you — your own report, nothing more.
